Home Visits
Requests for home visits should be made before 11.00 am.
Callers may initially be asked to speak to the Triage Nurse. A doctor may then
call you back to check details.
Visits are for those too ill to travel to the surgery, or
who have a serious condition where it may be harmful to health to travel. The
duty doctor will decide if a visit is necessary. Although visits are normally
done by the doctor dealing with that patient, there is no guarantee that a visit
will be done by a particular GP especially if the visit request is made late or
when there are many visits to be made.
