Premises
| In July 2000, after
several years of planning, we moved to our new premises in Clayton, Orton
Goldhay, Peterborough. Fortunately our 1.6 acre site has enabled us to have a
large car park as well as room for future expansion to the rear of the site. We
are only 300 yards from the local bus stop and there are good cycle routes
locally.

| The surgery also has a
purpose built pharmacy adjacent, operated by Lloyds Pharmacy. This has proven to
be very popular with our patients.
|
| Entering the reception and
waiting area most of our patients are amazed with the openness and space
especially compared to our former premises in Herlington. After checking in at
reception, patients are called to the nurse or doctor by means of a large
illuminated message board. Those patients hard of hearing will benefit from a
hearing loop in the waiting area and our staff will help those visually impaired
or with other disabilities. |

Doctors rooms are spacious
and bright. You may notice we do not use paper records. All notes are
computerised including letters and results from the hospital. |
There are now 3 treatment
rooms. The largest is equipped for minor surgery with a roof mounted operating
light and hydraulic operating table.
Security has been a big issue
locally. Unfortunately as with many practices nationally we have had to install
security shutters for use at night. The premises are in direct contact to the
local police and panic alarms are situated in all rooms and reception.
In 2005 work was completed to extend into previous
administration areas, allowing for the conversion and creation of 3 new
consulting rooms, bringing the total to 10.
