Out of Hours
Between the hours of 18.30
and 08.00 weekdays and 18.30 Friday to 09.00 Monday morning, calls are
handled by The Peterborough Out of Hours Emergency Service.
At other times when the
surgery is closed (except lunchtimes) calls may be received by receptionists or
the on call doctor.
The service operates from The
Rivergate Primary Care Centre, Bourges Boulevard, Peterborough. This service
centre ceases on the 18th May 2009 and opens on the 19th May 2009 at
The City Care Centre, Thorpe Road PE3 6DB.
Callers may initially speak to
a trained nurse advisor who may offer advice, invite the patient to attend, or
authorise a home visit. The service is operated by trained nurses, paramedics
and doctors.
